Kayla M.

Kayla, a Deaf veterinary assistant, joined Cherry Ridge Veterinary Clinic in June 2022. She graduated in 2016 from Rochester Institution of Technology with an Associate Degree of Laboratory Science Technology earned. Her dream is to work with animals, so her current goal is to one day become a veterinary technician. In addition to being a pet sitter since 2013, Kayla has volunteered at animal shelters in both New York and Pennsylvania, as well as worked at dog daycares/boarding facilities and has even practiced grooming the dogs. Kayla has two dogs at home, a Beagle mix and a Jack Russell Terrier. As a Deaf person, chasing dreams are a wild move with many bumps and barriers, but Kayla feels that in the end, the entire fight is worth it when you are finally living the dream.
